Jamie Gavin moved to Dallas in 2000. Before joining our team as Director of Marketing, Jamie gained extensive experience in a variety of customer service, community outreach and marketing positions in the senior healthcare communities. After a stint as Healthy Generations/ Resident Services Director for a premier healthcare community, she transitioned into admissions and marketing where customer service and customer relations became her top priority.
At Caruth Haven Court, Jamie is responsible for developing the company’s marketing strategy and branding campaigns. Jamie loves working with seniors and fostering new relationships. She embraces each new day as an opportunity to make a difference in people's lives.
Linda is a long time Dallas resident, with over 25 years experience in Health/Life Insurance sales, as well as Real Estate/Apartment locating. She attended Richland Community College, studying business and marketing. Linda cares about people, sharing her love for children as a volunteer for CASA for the past 10 years.
With over 30 years as a Registered Nurse, "Margie" is uniquely qualified to support family and resident needs. She has a wonderful clinical and educational background, including an active military career and varied experiences in both acute and long-term care. This Chicago native uses her northern approach with southern sensibilities to provide quality coordination in the care of residents and families.
At age 17, Alicia moved to Texas to enroll at the University of Houston where she would earn a bachelor's degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management. While in Houston, she met and married her husband, Cruz Rodriguez from Venezuela, and began her culinary career at River Oaks Country Club as a chef and manager trainee. She later worked as a pastry chef at Post of Grill, La Grillia, and other restaurants in Houston.
Presented with an opportunity to train under Chef Douglas Rodriguez, now globally acclaimed as the Godfather of Nuevo Latino Cuisine, Alicia and her family moved to Coral Gables, Florida to work in Rodriguez's first Yuca restaurant. Alicia and her husband moved back to Texas in 1994 to open a Ninfa's franchise in College Station, which was a tremendous success. In 1996 they opened their own eatery in College Station, working very hard for six years before selling the restaurant. Alicia's career path then led her to Dallas, where she was part of the opening of a new senior community in Plano. While there she discovered a passion for working with seniors... a passion that would lead her to Caruth Haven Court. Alicia has been a member of the Caruth team since March of 2008.
Alicia and Cruz have two sons, Andres and Esteban.
"What I do is not a job that I go and perform a task and my day is done. It's deeper than that. I love the fact that I can contribute to someone's life and make each day a meaningful one," says Kadie. "Helping Residents with whatever they need gives me the pure satisfaction to see a smile, get a hug and sometimes a 'thank you' when love and care is given."
Originally from Sierra Leone, Kadie has a B.A. in Sociology from University of Liberia in Monrovia, Liberia. She has worked in senior living since 2005 and sees coming to work each day as an opportunity to bless those she's around. Kadie and her husband will celebrate 20 years of marriage in May 2015. They have three children, Kadia, Malieka and John Malik.
In her free time, Kadie loves to read, journal and watch the history channel. She enjoys politics and serves as chairperson of her country's local political group.
